    Instructions

Install Instructions For Whitfield Convection Blower: 12146109

The blower is located on the left side of the unit behind the control board side panel. The blower can be removed from the side, through the service panel or from the rear by removing the rear access panel. As always, when performing work on any stove, always unplug the unit from the power supply.

    • Locate the motor and find the four screws or nuts that secure the motor
    • Remove the screws or nuts
    • Unplug the blower from the wiring harness
    • Install new Blower to mounting post and tighten screws or nuts
    • Reconnect power

    Troubleshooting

If your blower is buzzing or vibrating when it's on, remove it and look inside at the blower wheel, you may have something foreign caught in the blower wheel, such as a pellet. Hair and other debris should be removed from the blower wheel at least once a year. Symptoms of a poorly performing blower will be excessive noise, vibration or heat. If the blower is clean and you are still experiencing problems, replace the blower. In rare instances, the control board may be sending a modified waveform to the blower. If you replace the blower and the vibrations or excessive heat are still present, replace your controller.

Current versions of this blower are a sealed bearing that requires no lubrication, though from time to time we do see parts come in that are made to the original spec requiring lubrication. This will be indicated on the listing table attached to the blower.

    • can just the fan be purchased anywhere the fan melted but the motor still works fine

      Hello,
If you are looking to replace the impeller for part number 12146109 you can replace the plastic one with this metal version: Replacement Impeller.

    • My Whitfield Advantage II blower part number on the blower label is 12126109. Does the second "2" instead of the "4" make any difference ? The volts, cycles, and RPM are the same, but the Amps are listed as 1.5 not .5 Thanks for your help.

The 12126109 is the same as the 12146109.
